Advising Sessions:

 

Our advisor is available for consultation on study abroad options. It is advisable to call and make an appointment so that the waiting time is minimal.

 

Visa Facilitation:

 

Students who wish to prepare for the visa interview can make an appointment with the advisor and prepare their paper work and interview simulation session. Prior appointment is required as sessions need to be scheduled based on the amount of time needed to assimilate the required documentation and other processes.

 

English Language Proficiency Test Preparation:

 

One of the requirements that universities have is proof of English language, as this determines that the student intake is at a level where a foreign student is able to follow the program which is taught in English. Qualified personnel on our team are here to assist you with your preparation for the iBT TOEFL and IELTS preparation program. Sessions are designed to meet the requirements of the students needs.

 

Diagnostic Tests:

 

Another facility we offer to candidates aspiring to go overseas is practice the diagnostic test of iBT TOEFL, GRE and GMAT on the computer. Our experience has shown that students find these sessions very helpful and are well prepared to tackle the testing session on the day of the test. Prior appointment is required to avail this service, as our student designated computers are booked ahead of time.

 

Outreach Activities:

 

As part of outreach, we visit schools, colleges and universities to meet with students and give them current information on admission process for international education. Our presentations and dialogues are aimed at raising the awareness level of the students who wish to pursue higher education outside their home countries. We cover areas outside Karachi as well and make regular visits to institutions in Hyderabad and its adjoining areas. The outreach sessions work both ways, it helps the students and it gives us an opportunity to interact with the students, this way we understand their needs, are able to thwart any misconceptions and keep the overseas university admissions office in the loop of what is happening in the country.

 

Networking:

 

Network with Educational Institutions and Advisors is done on a regular basis, one of the platform used is the forum of Advisors Network, through which advisors from more than thirty schools meet once a month and discusses various issues related to higher education, changes in systems locally and internationally. As part of the forum, WES offers information on International Education and also holds seminars and presentations at these institutions.

Workshops and Presentations:

 

Sessions are conducted at the WES office and at host institutions based on the need of the students. Topic of the workshop varies, but the following are some of the recurring topics which are always in demand.

 

 

Internship:

 

A popular program offered each summer to high school students. WES takes on two to three interns during the summer break and gives them an opportunity to refine their people’s skills. Students learn diverse tasks, which includes web search for colleges, general drafting of messages, communications skills and dealing with professional pressures at work.

 

Educational Exhibition and Book Fairs:

 

One of the avenues used for outreach is participation in educational exhibitions held in country. These events are popular among young adults and their parents who are seeking information on international education. For a prospective student the experience of meeting student recruiters and advisors from around the globe can be very exhilarating. This is a great learning experience and gives them first hand information about the country they wish to study in and the programs offered at overseas university campuses. This is where the dream starts and eventually comes to fruition after going through the process of selecting a program, the country of study, academic aspirations and career choice. A long path but with careful planning one can see lots of smiles and satisfaction on the faces of future generation of the country.
